A mother has been arrested for allegedly drowning her 4-year-old daughter in a bucket in KZN
KwaZulu-Natal police said a 45-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday after she allegedly drowned her 4-year-old daughter in a bucket of water at their Ballito home.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Thejiswa Ngcobo confirmed this
police met the baby's mother who revealed that her baby was heavy and abusive, and decided to drown the baby in a bucket full of water until it broke.
Ngcobo said the baby's hands were also tied with tape. The little girl was pronounced dead at the scene, "
The woman has been charged with murder and is expected to appear in the KwaDukuza Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
