BREAKING SA: truck crashes into sedan on Free State highway,3 adults and infant die
The accident happened on Wednesday around 6am.
According to the report, three adults and a baby were killed when a truck crashed into a sedan on the N3, near Roadside in the Free State.
Free State police spokesman Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring said the report indicated that a silver-colored Hyundai Hyundai car was a few kilometers from Roadside when the driver turned a U-turn near the ramp without paying attention to oncoming traffic.
The four died at the scene, and three other adults and another child were taken to hospital.
Mophiring said, "Unfortunately the NW-registered truck transporting wheat collided with the sedan. As a result, three adults and a child died instantly at the scene. Three other adults and a child were admitted to a local hospital in Harrismith. The driver of the truck was not injured and the truck was slightly damaged. A case of culpable homicide is being investigated, ”he said.
