GH ¢ 1 million employer fund to take part in Sportybet and 1xbet Betting and lost ,Has been granted bail by Accra Regional Court.
From prosecutors, Mr Agyapong, who told the court he had spent more than GH ¢ 1,079,728 on sports betting, was arrested after an internal audit of the company's finances.
Nana Agyapong who is the Administrator of the Kabfam company has been granted bail of GH ¢ 100,000 and three guarantees by a court headed by Ms Ellen Ayeh, she said.
According to Inspector Maxwell Ayim, the company's Chief Executive Officer, Antwi Boahen, gave Agyapong GH ¢ 800,000 to put into the bank account of the company's suppliers' account.
The accused first appeared in court on March 4 2022.
Mr Agyapong the accused has pleaded not guilty to all charges of theft and forgery in a court of law.

The plaintiff also forwarded a copy of the deposit slip to his providers as proof of payment. Prosecutor incharge said.

The chief officer confronted the suspect and admitted that he had not deposited the money on the due date and that the payslip he had sent to him had been forged, ”he said.

A literature search revealed that another GH ¢ 279,728 was unknown, making a total of GH ¢ 1,079,728.
This prompted a senior official to report the matter to the police for further investigation into the matter which led to the arrest of Mr Agyapong.
According to the investigation from September 2021 - March 2022, the accused Mr Agyapong used the amount of GH ¢ 1,285,034 in the sportybet and 1xbet, ”he said.
"Mr Agyapong pleaded guilty in a statement to the police, who used the money to attack Sportybet and 1xbet but could not win," the prosecutor said.
