The Ondo Magistrate's Court sitting in Akure, the provincial capital, has ordered the arrest of a woman, Omowale Olorunfemi, for allegedly murdering her neighbor (Agatha Julius),
On February 14, 2022 in Okeluse, the accused was arrested by police for allegedly killing the deceased after stabbing him during a fight, in the Ose Local Government area.
He has been charged with two counts of murder.
the case violates sections 316 and 319 of the Criminal Code, Cap. 37, Vol. 1 Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006. Prosecutor Suleiman Abdulateef told the court
He appealed to the court to remand the defendant in custody pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
G.O. Bernard, Defendant's Adviser, did not oppose the postponement.
The presiding magistrate, Mr Tope Aladejana, in his verdict, the accused retreated while awaiting DPP's advice, postponed it to May 30-2022.
