E-levy update: improper deductions will be refunded by GRA due to technical issues
The Ghana Revenue Authority will investigate and reimburse improper deductions from customers' portable wallets on the first day of use of the Electronic Transaction Levy.
On May 1, which was Sunday, some mobile users who tried to use the platform realized that they were being charged an E-levy for a transfer even under the established GH ¢ 100 basis.

Speaking to the source, he said, this was due to a technical conflict while other buyers on different networks, he assured all consumers that they would be reimbursed after the completion of the investigation into his property.
The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has explained why the implementation of the Electronic Transaction Levy (E-levy) on May 1, did not go as planned.
According to him, "Managers have received feedback from billing companies including banks and telecommunications companies, but a daily report will be made on everything that is being done to see the way forward."
