The team worked at 22:20 to assist in the coastal search operation between Gqeberha and Kenton-on-Sea, Ian Gray, director of NSRI Gqeberha, said.
NSRI deployed a rescue vehicle and staff to search for coastal and inland areas while NSRI controllers helped narrow down the search area based on touch radar touch and flight system.
