At around 08:00 on Thursday, one
patient was found hanging from a tree outside Mpumalanga Hospital, South Africa, where he was admitted after discharging himself without the consent of staff.
According to reports, the man was wearing a hospital gown when he was found dead outside Shongwe Hospital.
Police and paramedics received information from members of the public about a body found in the bush in Schoemansdal, Nkomazi, said Brigadier Selvy Mohlala.
Mohlala said unfortunately health workers were pronounced dead. Initial investigations have revealed that the 21-year-old suspect was admitted to Shongwe Hospital as a patient, but was released this morning without the consent of the hospital authorities.
