The vulence of Nigerian fans, as the CAF doctor collapsed, dies after fans at Storms MKO Abiola Stadium on March 29, 2022 after the end of the match as the away goal saved Ghana through Qatar.
A report from showbreeznews shows that the doctor suffered a heart attack due to the fear and panic created by Nigerian fans at Abiola Sport Stadium.
No officials from the Nigeria Football Federation or CAF have confirmed the cause of the doctor's death.
This is as attempts to reach officials appear to have been absent at the time of submitting this report.
A British-Nigerian journalist, known as Osasu Obayiuwana, confirmed that the doctor's death had been confirmed after he was taken to hospital. ;he said
There has been uncertainty over the death of a Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) drug addict, Dr Joseph Kabungo.
The famous Kabungo, was a Zambian doctor,
he was pronounced dead after Ghana defeated Nigeria in qualifying for the 2022 World Cup on Tuesday the 29th.
He said a report had been sent to the CAF team by the Game Control Department
Dr Kabungo from Zambia was died as he suffered heart -attack because of fear was walking towards the club's dressing rooms and then he suddenly collapse to the ground leading to his death.
Reports also indicate that Kabungo died of fear and panic at Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja before the start of the match between GHANA and Nigeria.
Kabungo's family was notified of the tragic incidents as well as the Zambia FA and the Zambian government were notified, he added.
Dr Joseph Kabungo is a Zambian citizen. And his job as a Doping officer. He collapsed suddenly and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The exact cause of his death has not been confirmed. His family, the Zambia FA and the Zambian government have been properly notified.
