“The time to return to May / June to celebrate the exams should be celebrated. The significance of this is that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the various member states, with the exception of Ghana, now receive the same thing in relation to their education calendars.

“This shows a great recovery from the devastating effects, disruption, and confusion caused by the epidemic. We must commend the Honorable Minister of Education and his Department for this excellent work. ”

He explained that the final International Timetable for Testing was sent to all schools for proper and required guidance.

Areghan also said that 1,607,975 students have registered for the exams at 20,221 schools.

He added: “Although the NIN was made part of the registration process, it was not a mandatory requirement to exclude a large number of candidates. Even after registration, candidates were allowed, and are still allowed to submit their NIN for upload. Therefore, I want to make it clear that no candidate has been denied registration due to non-delivery of NIN.

“Men of the media, we are committed to the conduct of the WASSCE for School Students, 2022 in Nigeria. We are working closely with the Regional Department of Education, the various State Education Services, the Nigerian Police Force, other security agencies and other stakeholders, to deliver, as usual, credible tests to the Nigerian Child and the public. in the community. ”

Areghan also warned users of rouge websites to stop their bad practices.

“We also want to issue a warning to all users of rouge websites that WAEC will not condone their wrongdoing during this trial.

“At this point parents are being warned to stop supporting these perpetrators who are determined to frustrate the efforts of the WAEC. They should not love them because that would lead to the destruction of their children.

"In the meantime, as always, we will work with the Nigerian police to prosecute the perpetrators. There will be no place to hide. The perpetrators will surely face the full fury of the law. ”
